How IV Sedation Can Help You

Keeping You Comfortable

sedation

General Anesthesia

Used for the most complex, invasive dental procedures, general anesthesia is a combination of medications that renders you totally unconscious. Best suited for those with severe dental anxiety, our general anesthesia services offer comfortable and relaxing visits to keep their oral health in check. Only specially trained practitioners such as Dr. Gendler can provide such a customized sedation service.

Oral Sedation

Prescribed and taken orally, oral sedation can be taken an hour before treatment or upon arrival at our office, giving our patients more of a choice in their sedation dentistry Depending on the type and potency of the medication, our patients may feel anything from a moderate decrease in anxiety to feeling so relaxed they fall asleep in the chair! With this dental anesthesia option, it may be necessary for a friend or family member to provide transportation home.

Nitrous Oxide

  • Often referred to as “laughing gas,” nitrous oxide is a gaseous medication inhaled through a nasal mask. While this gas may not make patients laugh, patients often feel drowsy and relaxed through their treatment, while remaining conscious and responsive throughout their procedure. Once treatment is completed, the nitrous oxide is stopped and only oxygen is breathed until the mask is removed. The effects will wear off quickly, allowing you to drive yourself home.

Customized Comfort With Sedation Dentistry

We go great lengths to provide minimally invasive, comfortable care for our patients in the most relaxing way possible. Sedation dentistry allows Dr. Gendler to create stress-free visits you will want to keep. Not all dental fear and anxiety is the same, and with us, it won’t be treated as such. We offer customized sedation anesthesia options for patients with minimal to more severe dental anxiety and make it our mission to create a calming environment our patients can enjoy. Patients have the option to choose from remaining conscious or falling asleep during their visit with sedation dentistry as we can customize your services to fit your exact dental worry and ensure you are comfortable and relaxed during your appointment with us. What many of our patients don’t realize is that receiving regular dental care can actually help prevent not only more serious dental issues, but also systemic conditions, from occurring. Our dental anesthesia services can bring you back to our office to ensure you maintain a healthy mouth and keep your beautiful smile intact. Don’t let dental fear lead your healthy mouth to tooth decay, gum disease or tooth loss. Our dental anesthesia options may be just the solution to keep you in our office and away from failing oral health so you can enjoy a smile that is both healthy and radiant. Our sedation dentistry and dental anesthesia solution can help you continue to love your smile and keep it healthy for decades to come!
