While performing routine dental procedures are incredibly beneficial to one’s oral health, they sometimes don’t fix every single dental concern you may be experiencing. Oral surgery offers undeniable benefits for your oral health and can create healthy, lasting smiles. If you are experiencing toothache, decay, failing or missing teeth, you may be in need of an oral surgery treatment from Dr. Gendler. We offer tooth extractions, TMJ procedures, dental implant placements, and restorative dentistry to help get your smile back on track!
Technology has come a long way in dentistry specifically, and has created more streamlined and precise procedures, treatment plans, and surgeries alike. Our in-house dental lab helps us craft personalized smiles that fit your facial symmetry and tooth color! For oral surgeries, most of our technology is interchangeable based on certain treatments. Smile preview technology is great for any procedure since this gives every patient a chance to see what their smile would look like with certain treatment options, before any work is actually done. Our intraoral camera aids Dr. Gendler in viewing the entire mouth to assess which treatment plan will be best to correct your dental concerns, and our Chrome guided surgery helps tremendously to ensure your dental implants are placed at the correct angle and depth so your smile can last you a lifetime.
Tooth extractions are one of the most common types of oral surgery procedure With being a more common type of procedure, tooth extractions can be performed right here in the office in a matter of just one visit! During this procedure, Dr. Gendler gently pulls your tooth, being careful not to disturb healthy bone or gum tissue. Once the infected tooth is removed, Dr. Gendler will suture the incision and complete post-operative instructions with you. Your tooth extraction cost remains manageable with Gendler Implant Center as your entire procedure is completed in house.
Bone grafting is a specialized oral surgery treatment that involves replacing bone levels in the jaw. Jawbone loss is typically caused from missing teeth and will need to be treated as quickly as possible to avoid sunken facial features. If not treated quickly, there will not be enough jawbone left to support dental implants or a denture. If this happens, a bone grafting procedure – taking bone from the patient or a donor source and placing it at the site of bone resorption – will be needed. Once the sutures are in place, the area is allowed to heal for a few months to let the bone grafting material and jawbone integrate.
Dental implants are a permanent replacement for missing teeth and are made up of three parts—the post, abutment, and restoration. Dental implant posts are surgically inserted into the jawbone to anchor a new tooth or set of teeth. Modern dental implant surgery is precise, especially when our Chrome guided technology is used. Immediate load of a temporary restoration may also be available for qualifying patients!
Root canal procedures are necessary when oral bacteria invade the pulp of your tooth. This typically happens when a cavity is left untreated for an immense amount of time. Root canals may also be necessary if your tooth becomes damaged or cracked due to oral trauma. Dr. Gendler will remove the infected pulp and nerve in the root of the tooth, clean and shape the inside of the root canal, and fill and seal the tooth. Once surgery is completed, Dr. Gendler will place a crown over your tooth to protect and restore it to its original look and function.
Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) surgery is performed to correct and treat jaw irregularities to improve our patients ability to chew, breathe, and speak properly. TMJ surgery may even involve realignment and reconstruction of the jaw to improve functionality even further. This procedure can also correct dysfunction and bite issues that may have been caused from facial trauma, accidents, or even congenital disabilities. While complicated, Dr. Gendler can perform this procedure with ease and correct your dental concerns right here at our office.
Dr. Gendler has the correct technique, training, and education to conduct oral surgeries and has placed thousands of dental implants. Dr. Gendler is dual degreed and enjoys continuing his education to ensure he is on top of the latest technology and dental procedures so he can offer exceptional care to each patient. Dr. Gendler has also specialized in dental implantology, cosmetic dentistry, and restorative surgeries over the course of his career and has created treatment plans that are precise, accurate, and personalized. With the help of dental technology, Dr. Gendler is able to perform oral surgeries that offer minimally invasive incisions, which helps with downtime after your surgery. Most recovery times are less than a month. For any TMJ surgeries and root canal procedures, you can expect to be returning to your normal routine in roughly 1-4 weeks, depending on the severity of your surgery.
