Missing teeth – whether from failing teeth, decay, or oral trauma – can be stressful, painful, and embarrassing. Not only does it cause many cosmetic concerns, missing teeth can cause many systemic issues and leave you feeling like a complete, beautiful, and healthy smile is nearly impossible. No matter how many teeth you may be missing, we have the solution for you! Full mouth dental implants can restore your oral health, smile esthetics, and dental function in a matter of visits! No matter how many teeth you’re missing, dental implants are our “gold standard” solution to the smile of your dream. Dental implants can not only restore your smile, but restore your self-confidence and quality of life for you to enjoy for the rest of your life!
Made up of three components – a post, an abutment and a restoration – our full mouth dental implants mimic the look and function of natural teeth. While a healthy, complete smile is the leading benefit to our dental implants, they also limit bone recession by being secured into the jawbone and decreasing the risk of sunken facial features. The post of the dental implant is surgically placed into your jawbone to create a strong foundation for your new set of teeth while the abutment aids the post with a place for the restoration to sit and allow your new smile to perform daily functions such as chewing and talking. Placing dental implants securely in the jawbone also ensures your brand-new teeth won’t shift or fall out. Dental implants are one the most versatile tooth replacements on the market, and here at Gendler Implant Center, we are happy to offer them!
We want to exceed your expectations and design a smile you can be proud of, and we do so by offering a full range of customizable full mouth dental implants:
Missing one tooth can cause teeth to shift to fill the gap or you may find yourself unable to chew certain foods. A single dental implant can be used to replace the missing tooth and serve as a permanent solution to these problems.
Having to replace multiple teeth can seem daunting when involving bridges and crowns that need replacements or partial dentures that require adhesive and food restrictions. With dental implants, multiple teeth can be replaced with just one post to restore your smile for you to enjoy for a lifetime.
Removable dentures that attach to surgical implant posts create a healthy smile while limiting bone recession. Implant supported dentures attach to your mouth securely without the need of adhesive to stay in place while allowing patients the option to take them out for cleaning.
If you have many missing or failing teeth, you may qualify for full mouth dental implants that are permanently fixed in your mouth just like natural teeth. Your brand-new set of teeth are attached to four or more posts that are implanted into your jawbone to restore your function and cosmetic benefits of a healthy new smile.
Beginning with your consultation here at Gendler Implant Center, we’ll discuss your dental concerns and what you want out of your smile. Dr. Gendler will then obtain digital x-rays and 3D imaging after a full mouth examination to determine your candidacy for dental implants. After your consultation, you will undergo surgery. This may involve tooth extractions and bone grafting utilizing our advanced dental technology. Dr. Gendler will place your dental implants into your jawbone to ensure your new teeth won’t shift or fall out. Placing these implants into your jawbone limits bone recession so your facial appearances don’t become sunken over time. During the healing process, your dental implants will fuse with your jawbone through a process called osseointegration. In this time, you can relish in your favorite foods, smile in photos without worry, and enjoy a smile that is healthy, complete, and long-lasting!
The installation procedure for dental implants is comfortable and painless as you are relaxing in a sedated state. Once your surgery is finished, you may experience some pain and swelling immediately after. Once your implants have some time to heal, they should function and feel just like normal teeth.
Most of our dental implant surgeries take about 2.5 hours per full mouth dental implant. If you’re receiving a single dental implant, the procedure can last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours.
Showing off that brand new, permanent smile is exciting! But ensuring your recovery from the initial implant surgery is completely healed can take about 12 weeks. Once the swelling has subsided, we can create your dental restoration that will sit permanently on the implant.
